Information for victims and witnesses of crime related to a recent ransomware attack affecting Eurofins Scientific

The National Crime Agency is investigating a recent criminal ransomware attack suffered by Eurofins Scientific, a forensic service company used by law enforcement agencies across the UK.

The National Cyber Security Centre is working closely with law enforcement partners to understand the full extent and impact of this incident.

Our priority is to limit harm to the UK and the public and minimise any impact on our criminal justice system.

Whilst investigations are still on-going, we have no reason to believe there is any impact on the underlying evidence that has been used in cases. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and or police will contact victims and the courts on a case-by-case basis should issues arise.
