The Victims' Commissioner, Dame Vera Baird, has written to the Home Secretary seeking assurances that there were arrangements in place to provide support and information to the families of those who died in the “Essex Lorry” tragedy

Yesterday I wrote to the Home Secretary seeking assurances that there were arrangements in place to provide support and information to the bereaved families of those who died in the “Essex Lorry” tragedy. Bereaved victims following homicide in a foreign jurisdiction face so many hurdles in accessing justice and this applies to those in other countries who lose a loved one in the UK.
