The Victims' Commissioner, Dame Vera Baird QC, has today written to the Home Secretary to set out her support for a number of proposed amendments to the Domestic Abuse Bill.
The Domestic Abuse Bill will fall again today when Parliament is dissolved. The Victims’ Commissioner would like the see the Bill brought back to Parliament at the earliest possible opportunity following the election and has today written to the Home Secretary to set out her support for some of the amendments being brought by those in the domestic abuse sector to help improve the Bill and ensure that it is the landmark legislation that is needed to bring about lasting change.
