The Home Office undertakes a national review of the role of WCU, specifically focusing on the requirement of adequate training and support for staff in WCU. This review should focus on addressing workload, vicarious trauma and work stress, to ensure these staff are fully supported so that they can in turn support victims in the criminal justice system.
